Posting Messages

You can post a message in one of three ways:

• As a reply to an existing message
• As a new message in an existing thread
• As a new message initiating a new thread in a forum

Posting messages and creating threads are options that may not be enabled by your conference administrator.

To reply to an existing message:

1. Select a thread from those listed under the available forum names.
2. In the message part of the page, click the Reply button.
3. Enter a subject for your message and the text of the message itself.
4. Click Post to post the message to the forum, or Preview to preview your message before posting it.

To post a new message in an existing thread:

1. Select a thread from those listed under the available forum names.
2. Click the Post new message in this thread hyperlink
3. Enter a subject for your message and the text of the message itself.
4. Click Post to post the message to the forum, or Preview to preview your message before posting it.

To create a new thread

1. From the main conference page, click the New Thread button above the list of available forums.
2. Enter a topic for your new thread.
3. Select the forum in which you want the thread to appear and click OK.
4. Enter a subject for your message and the text of the message itself.
5. Click Post to post the message to the forum, or click Preview to preview your message before posting it.
